After just finishing their massive remodeling of their lake home, the client’s new primary bedroom has the bed facing an entire wall of glass overlooking the stunning view of the lake. Designing around TVs are always challenging. There were no optimal locations to place a TV with a decent view from the bed and without obstructing the lake view. Bedroom TVs are also often only used for a short time before bedtime and therefore should not command a high level of design prominence.

Their designer, North Shore’s premier interior designer, Cathy Schager, planned on custom building a furniture console that would contain a 42” TV on an electronic mechanical lift and extra storage for their digital media. The console was designed to match the details of their existing bedroom furniture set so it can be easily concealed.
